Gilet 89

William J. Gilet, Jr.
Class of 1989

William J. (Bill) Gilet, Jr. had many community and professional accomplishments after graduating from Chelmsford High School in 1989. In addition to his successful career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he is a partner specializing in management consulting, he remained an active and engaged volunteer, board member, participant and influencer in local and regional charitable organizations and efforts which encourage the improvement of the community around him.

His list of civic participation amid a heavy global travel schedule and increased level of professional responsibility is a testament to the commitment he had to his community. Several of those organizations provided letters of recommendation in support of his nomination for the CHS Alumni Association Hall of Fame and gratitude for the work he has done in support of his charitable efforts.

Bill is a partner at PwC, and currently the firm’s Global Shared Services & Outsourcing Network leader. He focuses on some of the firm’s largest and well-known companies, helping through M&A transactions, as well as transforming their business for growth opportunities. The intensity of his work, which includes travel to global clients, does not detract him from his involvement in the Chelmsford and Greater Lowell communities.

He serves on the boards of organizations including the United Way of Mass Bay, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Lowell, Lowell General Hospital and Washington Savings Bank. He has chaired the Varney Playground Improvement Committee and Vinal Square Strategic Action Committee, and he served on the North Chelmsford Holiday Decorating Committee since high school, all to benefit the area of town he calls home. He has previously served as President of Old Scouts, Town Meeting Representative, Chelmsford Finance Committee, the Turf Field Committee and all of the Class of 1989 Reunion Committees. These are just a few of the organizations that have benefitted from his time and talent.

While involved in many organizations and with an extensive travel schedule, Bill still finds time to commit to family and friends. He attends many baseball, softball, football and field hockey games for his children, Kate and Liam. In his spare time, Bill enjoys spending time on a variety of outdoor activities with family and friends.
