Michael was a three-sport athlete at Chelmsford High and excelled in the state and New England region in wrestling. At the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, he competed as an NCAA wrestler, becoming New England champion. Michael went on to have a successful career as a Navy officer and Merchant Marine Engineer. His personal contributions as a longtime, respected, and honored youth wrestling coach and referee have been greatly appreciated.
