Keith T. O'Brien    

Class of 1982

 



Keith was a captain of the Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track teams in his senior year at Chelmsford High. He was a successful student as well, evidenced by his membership in both the National Honor Society and French Honor Society. At the collegiate level Keith graduated from College of the Holy Cross with a B.A. In Economics (Cum Laude.) He also captained the Cross Country team. Following his undergraduate years, he attended Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, and received a Masters Degree in International Relations.

Keith's greatest accomplishments have come as a result of his careers of teaching and coaching at Tyngsborough High School. According to comments gathered from his educational peers, Keith is hard-working, courteous and outgoing. He has an unselfish attitude and is well respected by students, athletes, fellow educators, opposing coaches, and administrators.

Since 2001 Keith has led the Tyngsborough High School Girls Cross Country team to 6 Division titles (including the last four years in a row,) as well as second and third place finishes in the Division II All-State Meet. Keith attempts to instill valuable lessons such as hard work, reflection and lifelong leaning in both his students and his athletes.
