Playwright First play “She would and She Did” starring then well-known actress, Grace George; residence in White Plains, NY spending days in Greenwich Village & New York City theatrical district; Many jobs to survive—Editing a women’s feminist magazine (Women’s Journal), school teaching, factory work & writing short stories; Next play “Skyrocket” included family friend Humphrey Bogart; Play “Petticoat Fever” 1st success, played through out the US, London & Mexico City, made into an internationally acclaimed movie. 2nd hit play “Yes, My Darling Daughter” classified as one of the 20 best plays of the American theatre from 1930-1939, also made into movie by Warner Brothers; Plays and movies attracted many famous actors/actresses including: Humphrey Bogart, Olivia De Haviland, Jessica Tandy, Priscilla Lane, Robert Montgomery, Myrna Loy, Dennis King & Leo G. Carroll; He was classified with such other theatrical greats such as: George S. Kaufman, Edna Ferber, Noel Coward, Marc Connelly, Kurt Weill, Moss Hart & Vincente Minnelli
