Caitlin was a three sport star while at CHS. In the fall, she was a member of the girls swimming and diving team. In the winter and in the spring, she was a member of the track teams. In her senior year, she was captain of the swimming and winter track teams.

In her freshman year, she won the North Sectional 100 yard freestyle in 55.65. She was a member of the 200 medley relay team that broke a state record which had stood for twelve years (1:55.12). She was also a member of a relay team that set a school record in the 400 freestyle relay in 3:46.71.

During the indoor track season, she won the 1,000 meters. In the spring, she set a school record and won the 800 at the MVC meet (2:19.43). She set a school record and took third in the Class A mile with a time of 5:12.13. She was fifth in the 1,600 at the New England Meet.

As a sophomore, her swimming record included: The North Sectional title in the 200 freestyle (1:55.27) and the 100 freestyle (53.48). At the state meet, she won the 200 freestyle in 1:54.27 and the 100 freestyle in 53.48. Her track record included: Winning the Class A 1,000 meters in 3:04.41 during the indoor season. In the All-State meet, she won the mile in 5:07.73. She was "Most Valuable Player" for the team in both the indoor and outdoor seasons.

In her junior year, Her swimming record included: Winning the North Sectional title in the 200 freestyle in 1:54.04, a meet record. She also won the 500 freestyle and set a new school record. At the state meet, she won the 200 freestyle in 1:55.57 and the 500 freestyle in 5:07.73. That was a new school record. She swam to a new state record (1:40.70) as a member of the 200 freestyle relay.

Caitlin's senior year was a great one. Swimming: She was named the MVC Division 1 "Swimmer of the Year". She helped the team to a perfect 13-0 record, an MVC title, an MVC Meet title and seconds at the sectional and state meets. At the state meet, she won the 200 freestyle in 1:50.95, anchored the record breaking 200 freestyle relay team (1:38.62) and the record breaking 400 freestyle relay team (3:35.49)

Caitlin was an All-Scholastic swimmer for four years and also was named a United States Scholastic All-American. The team's dual meet record over her four years was 41-5.

In track, she was an eight-time Lowell Sun All-Star. That included two times as "Runner of the Year". She was also a two-time All-Scholastic runner.

Caitlin received a full scholarship to Boston College, where she swam for four years. In 2001, she won the Kevin Conway Award as the top sophomore swimmer and the Harold M. Groden Award for the outstanding performance of the season. In 2003, she won the James J. Kane Academic Award for the highest Grade Point Average on the team, during the season.

Caitliln is a teacher in the Chelmsford Public School System. She also is a very successful swim coach in the area. Her teams have won many league and state championships and she has been recognized as “Coach of the Year” by the Eastern Massachusetts Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association and the Boston Globe several times.
