Community
Habitat for Humanity (Lynchburg, VA, Mooresville, NC & Petersburg, VA, Lead Board Member-Development of business plans for “Re-Store” in Tri-Cities (Petersburg, VA), Worked on 5 International Village Projects in Guatemala & El Salvador; Recipient of “The Golden Hammer Award” for outstanding leadership during the building of homes in the Tri-Cities area; Project Healing Water Fly Fishing, Fly Fishers of Virginia (Education of Fly Fishing skills), Fly Fishers of Virginia appointed to run Project Healing Water at Hunter McGuire Virginia Medical Center in Richmond, VA (Project developed to work with recovering warriors and disabled veterans) Phil was a program leader responsible for developing fly tying, casting sessions and outings. Developed into 100 clubs across the US, Canada and Western Europe, Appointed to be Regional Coordinator for Virginia & West Virginia; Recipient of The National Award for Excellence from the founder of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing
