Career
IIT Research Institute, advanced planning for NASA’s lunar & planetary programs office working on: Lunar surface analysis, automated lunar rover, Saturn orbiter, atmospheric entry mission to Uranus & Neptune; System Planning Corp Research staff, Assistant Director, Senior Scientist, Chief Scientist, Director of radar responsibilities: analysis of strategic arms systems and potential arms agreements.  Led analysis dealing with Civil Defense, principal analyst & author of a major CD study that led to the CD program proposed to congress by President Carter.  Analyzed many potential options for the strategic arms limitations talks, effects of strategic exchanges, fallout patterns & effects of the ABM Treaty.  Extensive contributions to a classified program dealing with ground based inverse synthetic aperture radar.  Environmental Research Institute of Michigan Senior staff member for the advanced concept division managing programs including: 2-dimensional airborne target id, 3-dimensional target imaging, 3-dimensional terrain mapping, electronic countermeasures, detection, discrimination & classification of military vehicles in foliage.  Institute for Defense Analysis federally funded research & development center where he supported advanced research projects agency of the Department of Defense, developing radars flown on two unmanned aerial vehicles (Tier II & Tier III), Chair committee to review progress of the Tier II & III vehicles & radar equipment.
