About the CHSAA
The Chelmsford High School Alumni Association is an independent organization committed to promoting fellowship with and among alumni and future graduates. The Association, recognizing the rich legacy and the excellence in education of the Chelmsford Public Schools, is a committed partner of Chelmsford High School. The Association seeks to offer support for the Chelmsford High School community by promoting alumni interest, engaging alumni to contribute their expertise, encouraging alumni and community involvement in student programs and services, and providing social, business and charitable opportunities.
Our Mission
The Chelmsford High School Alumni Association is an independent organization committed to promoting fellowship with and among current and future graduates. The Association, recognizing the rich legacy and the excellence in education of the Chelmsford Public Schools, is a committed partner with Chelmsford High School. The Association seeks to offer programs and services to Chelmsford High School Alumni and to foster support for the Chelmsford High School community by promoting alumni interest, engaging alumni to contribute their expertise, encouraging alumni and community involvement in student programs and services, and providing social, business and charitable opportunities.
All Chelmsford High School graduating seniors and alumni are eligible to apply for CHSAA general and designated scholarships. Students are required to complete and submit an application to a selection committee established by the CHSAA Board of Directors. The selection committee reviews each application and awards the scholarships based on the established criteria for each. The scholarships are formally presented to recipients at the annual Awards Night in the spring of each year alongside representatives of the donating individual or organization.
The CHSAA has also created an Authors' Corner in the high school "Learning Commons" (library). The cover of each book is framed and on display, one copy of the book is put into circulation and one copy is held in reserve. There are now over 80 books in the area. If you are a graduate of CHS and a published author and wish to have your book(s) displayed in the Authors’ Corner, please email us.
Around 2005, a "quo vadis" committee was formed to plan the future of the Chelmsford High School Alumni Association. A new vision statement and a new mission statement were drafted. The goal was to secure the structure and function of the Association so it may carry on its work into the next century and beyond, as well as planning a multi-million dollar capital campaign.
